Board Member Appointment:

The committee that nominates board members is comprised of the following: one representative from community—usually the town of Tisdale Mayor; one representative from the Province; and—if one exists—a Federal representative.  Nominees must meet eligibility criteria.  Nominating committee recommends nominees to the Minister responsible for Social Services.  Board Members are staggered 2 and 3 year terms.  The board delegates responsibility to the manager.  The board then oversees monitors and evaluates the work, goals, objectives and outcomes.  The board usually meets once a month.
